About Stefano Pacifico

I'm Stefano Pacifico, an entrepreneur and AI researcher. My interests include how machines acquire and use knowledge, in particular for curing diseases; using technology to create value (entrepreneurship), and how to use technology to help others (social good). The intersection of AI and healthcare represents a frontier where technology can have profound impact on human lives. This drives both my research and entrepreneurial endeavors. Here is some of my occasional writing.

My mission became deeply personal when my child was diagnosed with Malignant Ectomesenchymoma, an ultra-rare cancer related to Rhabdomyosarcoma. Ultra-rare cancers present unique challenges in research and treatment development, largely due to limited data and funding. This experience has shaped my perspective on the role of AI in medical research.
